The Platinum card differs in that it charges a higher APR, but
offers cash-back on purchases. It has the same rate
on balance transfers as the Gold card. Both
cards provide payment protection and loss/theft
cover (although you'll have to pay a small one-off
charge or a percentage of the overall spending).
The Gold card has a fairly competitive
APR rate with 0 % on balance transfers and purchases
for the first six months of opening an account. In
addition there is no annual fee and you can manage
your account online.
Morgan Stanley has also put together a healthy
package of extras to augment their basic credit card
service. They offer a range of travel/insurance
related benefits that are bound to prove tempting to
business customers.
These include: free travel cover (up to £250,000
for Gold and Platinum
cardholders), use of a travel advice service and
emergency legal and medical assistance.
In addition Morgan Stanley provides a messaging
service for customers needing to pass on vital
information to family and associates.
They will also help replace lost or stolen travel
documents and property. For those times when a
business meeting has over-run (or your flight has
been delayed) Morgan Stanley can lend a helping
hand.
